Problem
Local farmers and artisans face challenges due to the absence of a centralized community and platform for connecting with each other and event managers. This lack of infrastructure hinders their ability to discover events and effectively communicate with fellow vendors and market managers.
Solution
A web-based application serving as a centralized platform which allows users to:
• Showcase their products & services
• Find & sign up for markets
• Maintain an event calendar
• Communicate with customers, vendors & event staff
Reducing the difficulty of event participation and navigating marketing channels.
Screener Surveys
To ensure unbiased insights, we crafted a screener survey to pinpoint diverse interviewees resulting in 8 user interviews.
Interviews
We conducted user interviews to build personas and help to inform the design. Together with the team, we prepared an interview script with 20 open-ended questions, focusing on farmers and artisans' needs, preferences, and pain points in the market space. We conducted remote interviews with 8 users, but realizing its limitations, we supplemented our findings with firsthand observations during in-person interviews at three different markets. Engaging with 5 more interviewees, we meticulously noted nuances. With this comprehensive data, we were ready to analyze our discoveries.

Feature Comparison
We conducted competitive research to gain insights into the features and solutions of our competitors. Based on our findings, we came up with features that positioned our product above our competitors.
Sketches & Wireframes
We began the design process with low-fidelity sketches to accelerate decision-making. Our sketches were based on our user interviews, business goal, and the heuristic evaluation. Using Figma, we translated our first sketches into low-fidelity wireframes. Then improving them by adding a few relevant stock images and text in our prototype.
Information that vendors commonly seek - location, amenities, fellow vendors & pictures.
Easily accessible contact details, all consolidated into a single, organized page.
Style Guide
To reflect the energy and diversity of local vendors, we selected a vibrant color palette paired with clean, modern typography. The colors evoke warmth, creativity, and community spirit, while the typeface supports readability and approachability across devices.
